These can be categorized in three groups: First, the United States centralized its response and coordinated a strategy in order to utilize the power of its example ; second, it responded directly to Soviet efforts, cultivating thought leaders around the world and spreading American narratives globally over a variety of mediums; and third, the United States acted to inform the public and embarrass Soviet officials by calling out Soviet propaganda while strengthening allies , media outlets and public officials in a position to prevent the spread communist propaganda.
